WSHS began offering Dual Enrollment English 12 and Government courses in partnership with Northern Virginia Community College during the 2016-17 school year. Students who successfully complete Dual Enrollment English 12 can receive both high school credit and college credit for NOVA courses ENG 111 and 112. English 111 challenges students to write and revise in order to improve their writing in a variety of styles--narrative, expository, argument, and research. English 112 focuses on literature, analysis, argument, and research. Dual Enrollment Government offers student the opportunity to ear college credits in the NOVA courses PLS 211 and 212. For the 2017-18 school year, WSHS is excited to announce it will be offering Dual Enrollment Vector Calculus (Calc III) and Linear Algebra for seniors who successfully complete AP Calculus BC during their 11th grade year. This fills a "gap" in the math course sequence for advanced math students who previously lacked course options after completing AP Calculus BC.
