Bridge Bulletin 8.7.2021

Message From Mrs. Abney

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!  I am excited to finally have our students back in school. Although we will be wearing masks, school will look the same with classrooms full of students and activities happening almost every day after school.  As of today, we have 2823 students registered to attend WSHS with about 100 attending virtually through Virtual Prince William and Virtual Virginia.  Custodians have finished a deep cleaning and we are ready for August 23.

The following new immunization requirement for 12th grade students takes effect on July 1, 2021, and will impact requirements for the coming 2021-22 school year:

  • Changes regarding school entry for 12th-grade students: Children entering 12th-grade will need to have a booster dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY) given at 16 years or older.

  • A 12th grade student who has received a dose of the meningococcal vaccine prior to age 16 may be conditionally enrolled but will still be required to have the 12-grade dose given at 16 years or older.
