All middle and high school student athletes and their parent or guardian are required to complete an annual Concussion Training according to Prince William County Public School Policy 759. As there are sufficient differences in the way concussions will be handled at the middle school and high school levels, a parent having children in both middle and high schools are required to attend both a middle and a high school presentation. Students and their parent/guardian have two ways to receive this concussion training.
1.) Face to Face Training:
High School parents and students who are entering 9th grade and trying out for a sport for their first time in high school or are new to Prince William County Public schools must attend a face to face concussion training. Woodbrdidge HS will be hosting meetings on the dates shown at 7pm in the school's auditorium:
No more remaining at WSHS.
Meetings at other PWCS high schools can be found at this here.
2. Online training for returning high school students (those who have attended a HS face to face training) will be available after July 1, 2017. The parent and student are to complete the training together if completing either of the online training. A completion certificate is printed out, signed by the parent, and turned in to the athletic trainer (or secretary at school). Start the online training.
